Retail Area Manager, home based (ideally located in Cheshire)
Permanent, full time.

We are one of the UK’s leading rehoming organisations for animals. We support sick, injured and homeless pets and care for more than 40,000 animals every year through our rehoming, veterinary and education programmes.

Are you looking for your next challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Area Manager to join our Retail team.

We have big plans for the future so the ideal candidate will be innovative, have strong leadership skills and enjoy developing, coaching and mentoring others. Ideally the successful candidate will be someone who is a self-starter and has the experience of running multiple retail sites. Managing approximately 14 shops over a large area which includes Manchester, Staffordshire and the north of the Midlands, extensive travel will be required.

A part of our big plans is to expand and open more shops within the next 18 months, so this really is an exciting time to join Blue Cross and play a part in helping us achieve our goals.

What is required?

We are looking for people with the following:
• Full manual driving licence
• Retail management within a commercial company and/ or a UK registered charity
• Experience of achieving success against financial targets
• Experience of developing and monitoring budgets and operating plans
• Experience of managing, training and developing people

It would also be great if you had:
• Experience of direct management and on-going development of staff in a multi-site situation
• UK charity sector retail management
