What is the role?
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Receptionist to join our team at our Rolleston rehoming centre and help us to take in, care for and rehome homeless horses and cats. We are looking for someone with good communication and organisational skills who enjoys working within a busy team and delivering a high quality of service to our customers both internal and external. It would also be great if you an understanding of horses and the equestrian world and of cats and pet ownership.

Key responsibilities will include:
• Answering the telephone, ensuring accurate information is taken and given
• Processing payments line with organisational procedures
• Maintaining accurate electronic records
• Assist the centre teams with a variety administrative duties

Standard hours are 42 per week: - Sunday - Thursdays.

What is required?
We are looking for people with the following:

• Good standard of secondary education including English and Maths at GCSE or equivalent
• Full manual driving licence
• Experience of working in a busy reception environment
• Dealing with the general public and their enquiries – both on the telephone and face to face
• Computer literate
• Experience of finance, spreadsheets and cash handling

It would also be great if you had:

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Customer Care
• Previous experience of working in a similar role, or working with animals
• An understanding of the demands of the voluntary sector
• Working with the public
• Team working and mentoring
