Resourcing Specialist – Operations and Advice, permanent, full time
A mixture of home based and office working from our either our Burford offices or our offices in Radcliffe, Greater Manchester

We are one of the UK’s leading rehoming organisations for animals. We support sick, injured and homeless pets and care for more than 40,000 animals every year through our rehoming, veterinary and education programmes. Our Talent & Resourcing team have a very important role - we recruit our brilliant people, both our paid and volunteering roles. We recruit roles nationwide and source new talent so that Blue Cross have the right people in the right roles and can continue to help pets throughout the UK.

What is the role?
We have a brand-new exciting opportunity for a Resourcing Specialist with proven experience in this field to join our small but perfectly formed, Talent & Resourcing team. The Resourcing Specialists manage the end-to-end recruitment process whilst providing expert advice and guidance to our hiring managers. You will also be required to identify, organise and initiate recruitment advertising activity through relevant job boards and other channels to attract candidates.

The successful candidate will have strong organisational skills and experience within recruitment. If you like variety then this is the role for you, each day will see you providing advice and guidance for the full recruitment cycle, utilising job boards and social media channels to advertise vacancies, coaching and training our hiring managers through the recruitment process and spinning many plates in the air!

This is a full-time role of 35 hours per week Monday to Friday. Due to the nature of the work of Blue Cross, and this post, it may be necessary to exceed these hours when the workload demands.

We are currently trialling a hybrid working scheme where you need to work a minimum of two days a week in the office and the other days be home-based. Occasional travel will be required to other Blue Cross sites for recruitment events.

What is required?
We are looking for people with the following:
• Experience of working within recruitment
• Demonstrable experience of working in a busy office environment, and supporting multiple teams
• Proven administration skills
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal and customer-facing skills
• IT literate with MS Office and web-based databases and platforms
• Proven track record of prioritsing and organising work and projects

It would be great if you had:
• Knowledge of administering Assessment/Development Centres
• Knowledge of writing website and social media content
• Experience of recruiting via different talent streams such as apprenticeships, kickstart and traineeships etc
