Rehoming Service Delivery Partner (Finance & Resources) , 12 months fixed term contract, full time

Location: Home-based or office based from one our rehoming centre’s or rehoming and advice units. All candidates must be within a commutable distance of one our rehoming centre’s or rehoming and advice units.

Our rehoming services face the challenge of abandoned, unwanted and sick pets every single day. Our teams are there for all pets, from strays and rescues to unplanned litters and pets with behavioural and health challenges. Recently we have developed a strategy in response to the need’s pets face in the modern world, to effectively deliver our strategy we have designed a band new rehoming operating model and organisation structure, which we are looking to fill with talented, experienced and energised people.

What is the role?
We have an amazing opportunity for a skillful coach and collaborator to join our team. This is an incredibly exciting time to work in the Rehoming directorate at Blue Cross as we modernise and scale our agile services to meet the future needs of pets and people in a digital world.

The role as Rehoming Service Delivery Partner (Finance and Resources) will coach and manage approximately five to seven Rehoming Centre Managers to effectively deliver rehoming services with an integrated, one team approach. You will also be responsible for cultivating a collaborative partnership with our Finance & Resources directorate who are accountable for overseeing the charities facilities, information services and financial operations. Within the rehoming Directorate you will work closely with Rehoming Welfare & Training Standards, Rehoming Service Design and our rehoming managers to deliver business improvement in your specialist area of Finance and Resources.

This is a dynamic, diverse role with no one day being the same. The ideal candidate will have experience of line managing managers and will also be an experienced coach. Our ideal candidate will have the skills and experience to oversee the delivery of quality services whilst supporting teams through change, alongside managing projects and responding to changing priorities.

You will take a structured and engaging approach to integrating changes and improvements across rehoming services in matters relating to Finance & Resources. Your peers are a team of similar partners with differing operational focus areas. A high level of emotional intelligence, effective collaboration and communication will be essential.

We are looking for a candidate that will already have made a positive impact on sustainability, income generation, optimising the use of technology and people performance in their previous roles. They should also have experience of working with other internal stakeholders to implement consistency across multiple teams. This person will be looking for challenge and an opportunity to use their skills to deliver a broader impact in a charity that values every single supporter donation and is committed to helping pets with happy, efficient teams and in facilities which deliver high welfare standards.

The standard hours are 35 per week, Monday to Friday.

What is required?
We are looking for people with the following:
• Experience of line managing and coaching small and large teams
• Significant operational leadership experience gained in an animal welfare or care environment
• Experience of complex stakeholder and customer management working across multiple disciplines

It would also be great if you had:
• Animal welfare, care, management and/or behaviour qualification
• Qualification in coaching
• Qualification in leadership & management
• Leading in a commercial environment, delivering sustainable and financially balanced services
• Working within a matrix environment
• Working within cross sector groups and forums

Suitable candidates will be offered an interview on either 1st or 5th February 2021 which also provide an opportunity to find out more about the role. Shortlisted candidates will then be invited back to attend an assessment centre on 19th February. Both the first stage interviews and the Assessment Centre will be carried out virtually via Microsoft Teams.

Salary: Circa £36,000 per annum
