Blue Cross are one of the UK’s leading rehoming organisations for animals. We support sick, injured and homeless pets and care for more than 40,000 animals every year through our rehoming, veterinary and education programmes.

What is the role?
Blue Cross currently have 55 shops across the UK which are split into 4 areas. We are looking for a driver/stock controller who will be line managed from Hartlebury but could possibly be based further north in the event of a suitable candidate applying. The driver will be able to control the distribution of donated stock and new goods to their designated shops in and around the Midlands and as far away as Thirsk.

If you excel in an environment where you can see the difference you make every day then this is the role for you. The standard hours are 35 per week over five days, although you must be flexible as you may need to start early to ensure you are able to access pedestrianised areas within the specified time constraints.

What is required?
We are looking for people with the following
• A full UK driving licence.
• Good organisation and communication skills.
• Initiative to plan cost effective journeys between shops, incorporating the needs of those shops in the planning of those journeys.
• Stamina to be able to carry donated items up and down stairs from shops to your van numerous times a day.

It would also be great if you had:
• A desire for driving
• A friendly, approachable nature, as at times you will be the face of Blue Cross.
